World History Timeline by Schofield and Sims
The design of this world history overview is reminiscent of one of the first human civilization timelines ever made – the 1769 “A New Chart of History” by Joseph Priestley. The one drawback of this chart though is that it does not have an equidistant time scale. Instead, it shrinks the centuries in the distant past and expands the ones closer to the present, thus presenting a distorted view and providing weak coverage of bronze age civilizations. On the plus side though, it does provide good coverage of non-Western civilizations and is printed on sturdy laminated paper. Published by Schofield and Sims, there is a jumbo edition (3′ x 4′!) currently available. Use the link below to take a closer look.
